Gisele joined Watson in 2021 with a background in urban studies and geography. She received a Master of City Planning degree from the University of Manitoba. In her master’s capstone project, Gisele examined transit and private automobile accessibility of newcomers in Winnipeg, MB and identified areas potentially at risk of transport poverty, using GIS. Prior to this degree, Gisele completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Urban Studies and Geography at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Engineering in Urban Planning at Sheikh Bahaei University in Iran.
During her master’s studies, Gisele was also employed as a planning student at the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region (WMR) where she did background research related to municipal development plans, planning initiatives, and regional policies.
Gisele is happy to call Downtown Toronto home because of her desire to live in a walkable neighbourhood where she has convenient access to transit and some of the best dining and shopping in the City.
