Elliot Chiu, BA (Hons), MPL

Elliot Chiu, BA, MPL, Analyst, joined the firm in 2024, bringing a strong background in municipal planning and policy development.  He holds a Master of Planning degree from Queen’s University, where his capstone project focused on designing an urban revitalization plan for the Ottawa Waterfront, incorporating stakeholder engagement and GIS-based analysis.  He also completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in City Studies with a Minor in Geographical Science and Applied Statistics at the University of Toronto.

Elliot’s professional experience includes serving as a Policy Planner for the Town of Aurora, where he developed the Affordable Housing Action Plan and contributed to downtown revitalization initiatives.  He also worked as a Planning Intern for the City of Ottawa, where he supported the Transportation Master Plan and conducted spatial analyses using GIS.

His expertise encompasses affordable housing policy, growth management, and leveraging data-driven insights to deliver effective urban planning solutions.
