Erik Karvinen, MCIP, RPP, PLE

Erik is a Senior Land Economist with Watson & Associates Economists Ltd.

Erik has extensive experience in demographic and economic growth studies, growth management strategies, industrial/employment land needs studies, ward boundary reviews, real estate market studies, economic impact assessments and feasibility analysis.  He also has over 10 years’ work experience in transportation planning and GIS.

Erik is a Professional Land Economist with a Master in Urban Planning degree from McGill University.  He also has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with a focus in marketing and economics, from Queen’s University.  Erik is an active member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.

Erik is happy to call Guelph home because of the high quality of life it offers. He loves living there because it is a great place to raise his family.
